was studying and i found a case study quite interesting
ok.. maybe it's just me who found it interesting
so here it goes:
hypothalamus plays role in emotion, yet
most people think about the heart
- rhesus monkey at zoo held baby on left by the heart on 40 out of 42 occassions,
- 83% human mother held babies on left-regardless of handedness
it's not really connected to most of us but there's more observation connecting to our daily life
- out of 438 shoppers leaving store with one bag, exactly half carried bag on the left
well, i am that other half
their explaination for the first two is because there must be survival value to having a newborn placed close to sound of mother's heartbeat
it sounds lame to me =.=
and they did an experiment and found that infants treated to heartbeat gained more weight
but in stastistical point of view this is all trash!!!
ok the main point here is actually the title caught my eyes
Don't you think so too?
whatever connecting to emotion, what we think first is the HEART >.<
did we think of hypothalamus?
NO
And most of us doesn't even know what it is!
OK
Thank You...
